The XDC Series of power supplies comprises a range of ten models offering 12kW of high power for ATE, production test, burn-in, bulk power and OEM applications.

The new XDC Series of power supplies, now available in the UK from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is a range of ten models offering 12kW of high power for ATE, production test, burn-in, bulk power and OEM applications With an embedded controller, the XDC Series has a unique menu-driven auto-sequencing capability

This powerful feature allows complex test sequences to be entered and saved via the front panel without the need for external computers or software.

Tests unique to a user's application are now possible with the XDC Series.

At 12kW, the XDC Series offers up to ten different test programs, each with up to 99 voltage level steps varying from milliseconds to days.

Programs can be executed by a manual or external trigger or via a computer interface.

A technician can single-step through a sequence, run 'n' times, or run continuously when triggered from the front panel or remotely.

This stand-alone capability can be used for constructing simple voltage ramps, battery charging and simulation of battery voltage at engine start-up, component testing and MIL standard testing.

Up to ten configurations of differing protection and output set points may be stored, recalled at any time, or set for default at start up.

Standard features include RS232 and fully isolated analogue control.

Options include GPIB (488.2 with SCPI), GPIB multichannel and CANbus communications link interfaces.

The range also features extensive self-protection mechanisms and 'soft switching' for better noise performance, efficiency and reliability.

Input power-factor correction is included for lower current draw and low harmonic current generation.

Front-panel display of voltage and current is by separate bright vacuum fluorescent displays.

Meter accuracy is 0.15% of maximum voltage and 0.5% of maximum current.

Calibration is software based via the front panel.

Ten models are available with output voltages from 0-10 to 0-600V and current ranges from 0-1200 to 0-20A.

Output connectors for 10 to 100V models are nickel-plated copper busbars with busbar shield.

For 150 to 600V models they are four-terminal wire clamp connectors with strain relief.

XDC 12kW units cost GBP 5750 (plus VAT).
