Electronic load system builds up to
120kW
The WCL488 water-cooled load system is based on a modular design that allows a 120kW system to be constructed using 12kW building blocks.
The WCL488 water-cooled load system, now exclusively available in the UK from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is based on a modular design that allows a 120kW system to be constructed using 12kW building blocks Master units and slave units are available in three types: the WCL488-50-1200-12000 with full-scale voltage ranges of 10, 20 and 50V; the WCL488-100-1000-12000 with full-scale voltage ranges of 10, 50 and 100V; and the WCL488-400-1000-12000 with full-scale voltage ranges of 20, 200 and 400V

For a single 12kW unit the specified cooling-water requirement is three gallons per minute of water at 10C.
Dimensions of master units are 483 x 133 x 610mm and slave units 483 x 89 x 610mm, so that a 120kW system consisting of a master unit and nine slave units is less than 1m high.
All units weigh 25kg and are rack mountable.
Voltage input is user-selectable at 100, 120, 200 or 240V AC +/-10% and 48-62Hz at 350W.
