The EX355, new from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is a single-output laboratory DC power supply providing an output from 0 to 35V at 0 to 5A.
Programmable power-supplies offer outputs to 1kW
The XHR range of programmable power supplies, offering output ratings up to 1 kW is power-factor corrected for low current draw and reduced generation of input current harmonics.
A simple Visual Basic applet is also included for users wishing to write their own application or to incorporate this power supply into an existing test program.
The EL302P incorporates an optoisolated RS232 interface and offers a low-cost solution for a basic programmable PSU that is sufficient for many applications where the sophistication and complexity of GPIB are not needed.
Voltage and current levels are set digitally using either the RS232 bus interface or the local controls.
Setting resolution is 10mV and 10mA.
The all-linear regulator design provides very low output noise (less than 1mV) and fast recovery from transients.
A simple command set allows remote control of voltage, current and output enable along with readback of metering values and operational status.
Local control is via three rotary encoders providing rapid and accurate setting of voltage and current during bench use.
The front panel controls can be locked out when required, making the unit particularly useful in production and test environments where settings must remain fixed.
The EL302P retains the same compact size as other EL Series single-output power supplies, measuring 260 x 160 x 295mm, and operates without any cooling fan.
The EL302P costs GBP 229 (plus VAT) in the UK.
