Programmable power-supplies offer outputs to 1kW
The XHR range of programmable power supplies, offering output ratings up to 1 kW is power-factor corrected for low current draw and reduced generation of input current harmonics.
Twelve different measurement functions are selectable with the push of a button, making it a comprehensive but user-friendly instrument.
The first product in the family is Portable One Plus Access.
This is designed for maintenance, repair and design activities in the field, studio, service organisation or laboratory.

Programmable synthesised 1GHz RF generator
The TGR1040GP from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments) is a programmable synthesised RF signal generator with a frequency range up to 1GHz.
It is a two-channel (stereo) unit which generates sine and square waves and measures level (on both channels simultaneously), noise, THD + N and SINAD.
It also measures frequency, phase, amplitude ratio, crosstalk, wow and flutter, input AC resistance and AC mains parameters.
The analyser can store 30 instrument setups including data, and provides frequency and amplitude sweeping, graphing and printout capability.
Hard copy may be graphical data, tabular data or both.
The printer output will drive laser, inkjet or dot-matrix printers.
The second product, Portable One Dual Domain, adds complete digital audio and AES/EBU/IEC serial interface generation and measurement capability to 96kHz.
It is a true dual-domain instrument, in that signals are generated and measured in their native domain, analogue or digital.
The analyser also includes separate and independent digital audio and jitter generators and analysers.
The instrument generates digital-domain audio signals and measures digital embedded audio parameters including level, THD+N, IMD (optional), phase, frequency, ratio and crosstalk.
It generates jitter and measures jitter and sample rate and reads status bits and tests for interface errors.
An intermodulation distortion signal-generation and measurement option complying with SMPTE and DIN standards is available for both products.
A GPIB interface allowing control of the instrument in an automatic test environment is supplied as standard.
Both versions come with a comprehensive range of standard filters, and a range of optional filters is also available.
Other options include a switching amplifier measurement filter, rack-mount kit, various interconnection cables and test discs (CBS, NAB, Philips and JAS).
Prices for basic instruments start at GBP 4480 (plus VAT).
