DMM switches to slimline case
The Model 1906 digital multimeter now comes in a 2U high benchtop case with optional rack-mount kit.
TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments) has redesigned its Model 1906 digital multimeter to use the company's new 2U high benchtop case for which an optional rack-mount kit is available The DMM is fitted with an isolated RS232 interface as standard, and can also be specified with a GPIB (IEEE488) interface

Compact bench power supply provides 175W
The EX355, new from TTi (Thurlby Thandar Instruments), is a single-output laboratory DC power supply providing an output from 0 to 35V at 0 to 5A.
Programmable power-supplies offer outputs to 1kW
The XHR range of programmable power supplies, offering output ratings up to 1 kW is power-factor corrected for low current draw and reduced generation of input current harmonics.
The Model 1906 is a 5.5-digit auto/manual ranging multimeter with a scale length of 210,000 counts, a resolution of 1uV, 1mohm and 1nA, and a basic DC voltage accuracy of 0.012%.
The instrument incorporates a large number of smart functions, including linear scaling with offset (Ax + B),percentage deviation, min/max storage, limits comparison and logarithmic (dB) calculations.
The meter has a built-in data logger that can store up to 100 readings into nonvolatile memory.
Readings can be stored at any selected time interval from one per second to one every three hours.
Alternatively, storage can be triggered manually from the front panel or automatically from the RS232 or GPIB interfaces.
A simple recall sequence allows readings to be scrolled onto the display whenever required.
Alternatively, results can be downloaded to a computer or printer using the digital interfaces.
All AC functions are true RMS.
The wide-bandwidth AC measurement system can be used for frequencies up to 50kHz.
The maximum measurable inputs are 1000V DC, 750V AC and 10A DC or AC.
The 1906 offers manual or fully automatic ranging (including current ranges) and all functions, ranges and computing programmes can be controlled via its built-in digital interface.
As standard, the 1906 has an addressable RS232 interface.
Alternatively, a version with a GPIB interface is available which conforms fully with IEEE-488.2.
The meter is housed in a robust ABS case with tilt stand.
An optional 2U high rack mount kit is available for system applications.
The 1906 is manufactured in the UK and costs GBP 403 (plus VAT).
