BLT Circuit Services reports that to date 48 machines in the UK have been converted to use its nonpatented SACP0307 lead free solder paste.

Used on many different board types and finishes and with a wetting speed of only 0.1s slower than expensive high silver SAC alloys at nearly half the cost, the SACP0307 is proving a winning formulation.

BLT's antioxident and nitrogen casting techniques produces nearly a third less dross than the standard 63/37 and is clearly better than high SAC alloys that give between 5 to 10 times more dross and with no patent worries or costly licensing royalties to contend with.

Operating temperatures are only 10C hotter than 63/37 solder, and so the changeover could not be any simpler: with a tin flush lease system the changeover is complete.

BLT Circuit Services also offers free solder analysis to ensure compliance with the RoHS Directive.
