Bookham sells off RF amplifier business
Bookham Technology has sold JCA Technology to Endwave Corp for a consideration of $6 million.
Bookham Technology has sold JCA Technology to Endwave Corp for a consideration of $6 million JCA, based in San Jose, California, was acquired by Bookham through the company's acquisition of New Focus in March 2004, and primarily supplies a comprehensive line of RF amplifiers for defence applications
The transaction highlights Bookham's strategy to focus on its core optical business, following its announcement in May 2004 to implement further cost reduction initiatives, including rationalisation of its product portfolio.
