Broadband TelCom Power (BTC Power) has released the RPM series 800W AC/DC power module, including power factor correction.

Broadband TelCom Power (BTC Power) has released the RPM series 800W AC/DC power module, including power factor correction The unit is ideal for systems requiring a distributed power architecture such as data processing, datacomms and telecomms applications

Suitable for 19in racks and with a height of only 1U the RPM series can also be configured for solutions in excess of 2kW by combining multiple modules.

The RPM has full current sharing capabilities (N+1) and are specifically designed to support hot-swapping to minimise system down time.

This power system is available with 48V output with 800W capability and 88% efficiency.

The input is wide ranging at 85 to 265V AC and can cater for input frequencies from 47 to 63Hz.

The PFC performance is compliant with EN61000-3-2 with excellent ripple and noise performance (less than 1% peak-peak 20MHz BWL).

Line and load regulation are 0.5% and the operating temperature is rated from -5 to +50C with integral cooling fans.

The RPM series complies with safety regulations EN60950 and IEC950 and the EMI requirements of CISPR22 / EN55022-A.

It make use of BTC' s fully patented flat matrix transformer technology, with all the usual benefits in thermal performance, reliability and low noise.

The RPM module is available through UK representative MEL.
