The new S35 Series from BTCPower is a range of high-efficiency, low-power DC/DC convertors that deliver a power output of 35W from a sub-quarter-brick package.

The new S35 Series from BTCPower is a range of high-efficiency, low-power DC/DC convertors that deliver a power output of 35W from a sub-quarter-brick (1.2 x 2.0 x 0.35in) package: higher than that achieved by any other device with a similar footprint With a wide input voltage range of 18-36 or 36-75V, the new series is available in versions with output voltages of 1.5, 1.8, 2.5, 3.3, 5 or 12V

All models feature an input filter, input undervoltage lockout, overtemperature protection, output current limiting and short-circuit protection.

The fully enclosed, encapsulated construction featuring an aluminium heat-spreader design achieves very efficient heat transfer with no hot spots.

The use of BTCPower's patented flat-transformer design concept facilitates maximum power output with an efficiency of up to 90%.

The convertors combine creative design concepts with highly derated power devices to achieve very high reliability and high performance, providing a low-cost solution for systems designers who need to maximise power and minimise board space.

The S35 Series uses synchronous rectification topology, and the high efficiency means that no airflow or heatsink is required.

The units meet the basic insulation requirements of EN60950; they are UL60950 recognised and TUV EN60950 and CSA C22.2 No 60950-00 certified; and they meet the conducted radiation limits of FCC Class B and CEI IEC61204-3 Class B with external filter.

The DC/DC convertors are designed for use over an ambient temperature range of -40 to +85C, and mean time between failures is 4.5Mh at 50C.
