Mid-sized assembly machine has big features
Hot on the heels of the success of the Yamaha iPulse M1 and M2 machines comes the new lower cost iPulse M4, with the option of intelligent feeders.
The iPulse M4 has a two-way on-the-fly scanning camera for rapid component verification, and is available with up to 120 intelligent feeders.
The maximum placement machine is quoted as 0.22s per chip with a placement accuracy of 0.06mm for chips, and 0.035mm for QFPs, using a fixed upward-looking camera for alignment.
The machine structure consists of a high rigidity monocoque frame that resists vibration, providing absolute stability, which enhances placement accuracy and speed.
The M4 fills the gap between Blundell's TWS range at the lower end and the iPulse M2 high-volume placement system and gives Blundell a full range of SMT pick and place systems.
