Keith Dent, CRS's Operations Manager is also impressed with the accuracy of the iPulse placement machine.
"Its repeatability is tremendous, and it handles a very wide range of components", he says.
Its accuracy comes from a unique on-the-fly scanning camera.
Blundell also supplied a Plus 12 convection reflow oven to CRS.
It was one of the first installations in the UK of this new 12-zone oven that has been designed specifically for lead-free reflow.
Souter says: "The Plus 12 is a very capable oven".
"It has a very high throughput capacity, and a fast heat up time which suits the way we work, and to cap it all, its fully lead free compatible, which is a must".
According to Souter, the installation of the new equipment means that CRS can now quote any surface mount assembly job with absolute confidence.
