Complementing its current range of PICMG SBCs BVM has released the WSB-7845, a socket 478 module supporting P4 processors to speeds over 2GHz Similar in many ways to BVM's WSB-7651, this SBC uses Intel's 845 chipset favoured by some for compatibility and performance reasons

This full-size PICMG module features AGP 4X graphics with 8 or 16Mbytes of DDR embedded video memory and a 10/100Base-T Ethernet controller.

Memory is installed in three DIMM sockets giving a capacity of up to 3Gbyte of SDRAM.

All the usual PC peripherals are provided including floppy and IDE controllers, USB, printer mouse and keyboard interfaces, and audio.

As would be expected of an industrial SBC the WSB-7845 has provision for Flash storage in the form of a socket for an M-Systems DiskOnChip up to 576Mbyte.

The watchdog timer, essential for unattended operation, has 63 programmable settings.

Also included on the second serial port are options of RS232/422/485.

The ATI Mobility M6 high-speed graphics controller has a standard VGA connector on the front panel with, in addition, LVDS and TMDS interfaces for the latest flat-panel monitors.
