In addition, two ports for internal communications are accessible either on the rear I/O on the PMC P4 connector, via a PICMG-compatible PIM, or on a 10-pin onboard connector.
Using the NEC uPD720101 controller, the PMCUSB2 is compatible with the OHCI (USB1) specification for 1.5 and 12Mbit/s data transfers and EHCI (USB2) specification for 480Mbit/s transfers, ensuring that drivers are available for most operating systems.
Power is supplied to each port via an LM3526 power switch providing regulation and overcurrent protection.
The PMCUSB2 has a 0 to 70C environmental specification, with provision for conduction cooling where required.
