The MX-Q35 is a leading edge unit based on the Intel Q35 system chipset with any of Intel's Core 2 Duo and Quad processor family in the LGA775 package.

The newest addition to the BVM line-up of long life ATX motherboards is the MX-Q35, a leading edge unit based on the Intel Q35 system chipset It offers outstanding performance for processor-intensive tasks such as streaming video and high-end data processing

Any of Intel's Core 2 Duo and Quad processor family in the LGA775 package can be specified, the FSB provides a selectable blazing fast 1333, 1066 or 800MHz; and up to 4Gbyte of system memory, configured as dual channel DDR2 667/800 SDRAM, is supported.

The motherboard is fitted with a PCI-E x16 slot, giving a 4Gbyte/s bidirectional interface, a further two PCI-E x 1 slots and a PCI slot.

Graphics are managed by the Intel GMA 3100 chipset with 256Mbyte of video RAM, supporting 2048 x 1536 at 75Hz analogue displays and 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz flat panels.

Onboard audio, dual Gigabit Ethernet controllers and four USB 2.0 ports are provided.

A Trusted Platform Module is fitted.

Operating under Windows Vista or Linux, the TPM allows a third party such as an online video or music provider to verify that the hardware, boot, and host O/S configuration of a computer has not been changed; the TPM can also perform platform authentication.

For embedded and industrial applications, the watchdog timer is configurable up to 255min to reset the system in the event of a software crash.

The MX-Q35 is designed with long life components wherever possible, providing manufacturing repeatability for three to five years from product launch.
