Protocol exerciser offers high-speed
operation

Byte Paradigm has released the IC Xpress, a PC-controlled IC protocol exerciser and analyser It is controlled from a PC through a USB 2.0 high-speed interface

IC Xpress acts as a PC-controlled master (exerciser) and as a IC protocol sniffer (analyser).

IC Xpress allows master emulation for chip-to-chip communication, Flash memory access and IC system design and debug.

IC Xpress supports standard IC protocol, multimaster operation, standard 100Kbps and fast 400Kbps speed modes and even a 3.5Mbit/s high-speed mode for point-to-point topologies.

7 and 10 bits slave addressing, clock stretching and repeated start are also supported.

IC Xpress is delivered with cables, accessories and the 8PI Control Panel control software, including a license for the IC mode of operation, a Windows GUI, a TCL/tk scripting interface and a free C/C++ API, enabling tasks automation and control of the device from within custom environments programmed in Visual Basic and many others.
