Wipro selects Cadence for VLSI and
system design
Cadence Design Systems has announced that Wipro Technologies has chosen Cadence for its VLSI and System Design services business portfolio.
Cadence Design Systems (India), the Indian subsidiary of Cadence Design Systems, has announced that Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro, the independent RandD services provider, has chosen Cadence for its VLSI and System Design services business portfolio The move streamlines design technology operations and establishes Cadence tools and flows across the organisation, thus increasing efficiency and minimising costs for its operations

Wipro has built a 13,500-person Product Engineering Solutions (PES) Group that offers a complete range of RandD services ranging from product strategy to hardware design and quality consulting for clients that sell electronics-based products.
PES has more than 200 active clients in industries such as semiconductor, automotive, platforms and peripherals, consumer electronics, and medical devices.
R and D services now accounts for 36 percent of Wipro's total revenues.
