New Russian office in Zelenograd will serve as a centre of excellence for Cadence virtual CAD services.

Cadence Design Systems has opened its second office in Russia, the latest in a series of strategic investments The office is located in Zelenograd, recognised as the centre of the Russian semiconductor industry, and has a rapidly growing number of startups

Employees there will focus on providing Cadence Services, and the office will serve as a centre of excellence for Cadence virtual CAD services (VCAD).

Cadence Services helps mitigate the risks of delays, respins, and low yield by providing Cadence experience and expertise.

The VCAD business model from Cadence Services helps companies accelerate design productivity by providing methodology and design expertise, IP, as well as training for design teams.

In 2004, Cadence became the first electronic design automation (EDA) company to open a research and development centre in Moscow.
