A versatile instrument combines AC and DC dielectric strength testing with insulation resistance to 65Gohm and earth continuity measurement, all from a single test connection.

Available now from Caltest is a compact dielectric analyser manufactured by US based Vitrek Corp The Vitrek 944i is a versatile product that combines AC dielectric strength testing (AC hipot) with DC dielectric strength testing (DC hipot), and insulation resistance to 65Gohm with earth continuity measurement, all from a single test connection

Features include automatic calibration, built in diagnostics, internal "watchdog" safety monitor, user memory for up to 100 test routines, arc detection and available interface package with IEEE488.2, RS232 and direct test results printout capability.

On the front is an easy to read vacuum fluorescent display shows test display status, readings and automatic set up menus.

Also included are brilliant LEDs that illuminate a lightning bolt whenever the output exceeds 100V.

A user configurable beeper provides a loud warning prior to and during high voltage testing.

Operating temperature range is 0 to 50C.

The 944i measures 89 x 432 x 457mm and weighs 14kg making it easily transportable.
