Sweden is next step in CSR expansion

Henrik Hedlund has been appointed as CSR Sweden's General Manager and the design centre will also draw from the large pool of talented design engineers in Sweden.
Henrik is joined at CSR by Martin Lantz, who joins as Group Leader Analogue Design at CSR Sweden, which is based adjacent to the Edison science park and university in Lund.
At the end of January, CSR also announced that it would be expanding its operation in Taipei, Taiwan, to accommodate the growth in the Asian market.
CSR Taiwan now also offers test lab facilities for improved customer support.
In November 2004, CSR moved its headquarters to the larger Churchill House in Cambridge.
These new larger premises were necessary to meet the needs of the company's growing headcount.
CSR is headquartered in Cambridge, UK but also has offices in Richardson, Texas; Tokyo, Japan; Seoul, Korea; Taipei, Taiwan and Aalborg, Denmark.
In addition to the company's Cambridge facilities, CSR's key design centres are located in Aalborg and now Lund.
James Collier, CTO and cofounder, CSR added: "We expect CSR Sweden to play a key role in CSR's next generation of designs as we build on our market lead in Bluetooth and roll out our 'UniFi' Wi-Fi products".
"Our global design team has expanded rapidly over the past 12 months".
Collier continued: "With developments in Bluetooth, and now Wi-Fi it is important that we continue to recruit the best designers".
"By choosing to locate CSR Sweden in Lund we believe this will give us access to a lot of the design talent in that country".
