Gora Ganguli, Senior Vice President and GM, Audio Wireless Division, Gennum commented: "When it came to choosing a partner, CSR's BlueLab SDK (software development kit) enabled us to quickly implement an interface to our external DSP".
Ganguli continued: "The potential user mode enabled by BlueLab meant that we did not have to retest the Bluetooth stack in order to achieve Bluetooth qualification, allowing us to bring the nXZEN to market in time for last Christmas".
CSR offers a range of standard solutions and technologies for customers designing Bluetooth headsets.
CSR's BlueLab SDK allows customers to take these standard solutions and customise them enabling differentiation through innovation.
Luke D'Arcy, Product Marketing Manager for CSR commented: "The protected user mode enabled by BlueLab means that customer software cannot interfere with the Bluetooth operation of the chips".
D'Arcy continued: "This means that very little retesting is required, which leads to quick time to market".
