DC/DC convertors on the right (rail) track
Offering a wide input range of 66 to 154V, the CWPN20R series of DC/DC convertors from C and D Technologies are ideally suited to applications within the rail industry.
Convertors satisfy current-hungry applications
Isolated wide-input-range DC/DC convertors deliver 50-60W of power from a standard 40.6 x 50.8 x 10.16mm PCB-mounting open-frame package.
Eighth-brick convertors power up to 100W
Murata Power Solutions has a new series of cost-effective eighth-brick DC/DC convertors.
The WPN20R is available with three wide-range input voltages of 9-18, 18-36 or 33-75V and can be specified with a choice of seven single or dual outputs of 3.3, 5, 12, 15, +/-5, +/-12 or +/-15V.
Using forward converter topology with a 300kHz switching frequency, it achieves a high efficiency of typically 86%.
The WPN20R incorporates, as standard, all the advanced features demanded by today's high-performance applications, including full regulation down to zero load, soft-start, undervoltage lockout, short-circuit protection, remote on/off function, internal temperature shutdown facility and overcurrent protection.
In addition, an output trim feature allows the user to compensate for long line lengths.
Internal input filtering minimises conducted noise, while the unit's output filtering ensures excellent line and load regulation characteristics.
The WPN20R carries EN60950, VDE, UL1950 and CSA 22.2 No 950 approvals and meets the requirements of EN55022 Levels A and B for conducted emissions.
Manufactured using 100% surface-mounted components for increased reliability, the WPN20R is housed in a space-saving aluminium package measuring 50.55 x 40.39 x 10.8mm and features an industry-standard pinout.
Pricing for the WPN20R series DC/DC convertor is US$32.58 for quantities in excess of 100. Request a free brochure from Murata Power Solutions ...
