Novel interface is perfect for convertor mounting
Position Perfect is a novel surface mount interface technology claimed to provide enhanced mechanical integrity and improved mounting accuracy for DC/DC convertors.
These features include input filtering, remote on/off with positive or negative logic options, output voltage trim, output current limit and built-in non-latching protection against undervoltage, overvoltage, short-circuit and overtemperature conditions.
Equipped with dual outputs of 3.3 and 5V, the VSX60 includes a power trading facility that enables the full 60W to be provided from either output.
A high efficiency of 90% minimises the need for heatsinking.
Available in two versions with wide input voltage ranges of 18-36 or 36-75V, the VSX60 is particularly suitable for applications in computers, telecommunications equipment and distributed power architectures.
The DC/DC convertor has a baseplate operating temperature range of -40 to +100C, its input-to-output isolation is specified as 1500V DC, and it carries UL1950, EN60950 and CSA22.2 safety approvals.
Pricing for the VSX60 series DC/DC convertor is US$134.16 for quantities of more than 100. Request a free brochure from Murata Power Solutions ...
