Convertor delivers flexible low-voltage
outputs
The latest dual-output 60W DC/DC convertor from C and D Technologies significantly simplifies delivery of the low operating voltages required by modern ASIC and DSP technologies.
C and D Technologies has launched a high-performance dual-output 60W DC/DC convertor that meets EN60950, UL60950 and CSA safety requirements and that significantly simplifies delivery of the low operating voltages required by modern ASIC and DSP technologies Ideal for distributed power architectures (DPAs) in high-end telecommunication systems, the WPA60 DC/DC convertor will suit many applications where low-voltage power rails, high levels of reliability, and insulation in accordance with safety standards are key design criteria

Quarter-brick family gains output options
The WPA60 DC/DC convertor family now encompasses nine different devices.
Convertors satisfy current-hungry applications
Isolated wide-input-range DC/DC convertors deliver 50-60W of power from a standard 40.6 x 50.8 x 10.16mm PCB-mounting open-frame package.
Eighth-brick convertors power up to 100W
Murata Power Solutions has a new series of cost-effective eighth-brick DC/DC convertors.
Two independently regulated outputs deliver 1.8 and 3.3V, respectively, and provide full regulation down to zero load.
For maximum design flexibility power can be traded between the outputs up to the full 60W.
The WPA60 has a wide input voltage range of 36 to 75V and features input and output filtering as standard.
Built-in protection functionality includes under voltage lock out, a soft start capability, over current and over voltage protection, and over temperature shutdown.
To ensure maximum availability an automatic reset function allows the convertor to automatically resume operation once the fault condition is removed.
In addition, a remote on/off capability allows the convertor to be switched on and off using either negative or positive logic signals.
Using a fixed switching frequency of 350kHz, the new WPA60 operates with efficiency levels of around 90%.
Minimum isolation voltage is rated at 2kV DC and maximum ripple and noise on both outputs is just 60mV (peak-peak).
The convertor can be used in temperatures from -40 to +100C and has an MTTF rating of 1Mh.
Available now, pricing for the WPA60 is $55 in OEM quantities. Request a free brochure from Murata Power Solutions ...
