Top efficiency for nonisolated convertor
The first nonisolated DC/DC convertors from C and D Technologies (NCL) are compact and highly integrated devices that provide step-down switching functionality at efficiencies in excess of 94%.
Eighth-brick convertors power up to 100W
Murata Power Solutions has a new series of cost-effective eighth-brick DC/DC convertors.
DC/DC databook includes quick selection guides
Guides help design engineers quickly identify the most suitable DC/DC convertor for their given application.
In addition to high-efficiency conversion and built-in short circuit protection, the latest NGA10 devices also provide integrated shutdown and voltage trim capabilities.
Shutdown disables the convertor's output when the shutdown pin is shorted to 0V.
Voltage trim requires a single external resistor to provide output adjustment to within +/-5% of the required output voltage.
The new single-output convertors are based on a high-efficiency synchronous rectification design and can deliver the full output power rating at temperatures up to 85C without external heatsinking.
Output voltage options for the NGA10 convertors are 1.8, 2.5, 3.3 and 5V with nominal output ripple rated at 40mV peak-peak.
Power dissipation is down to a maximum of 1.1W, and the wide input voltage range is from 4.75 to 28V.
Line and load regulation for the new modules are 0.2 and 1.5% (nominal), respectively.
Supplied in a SIP package measuring 21.49 x 20.96 x 5.60mm, the new convertors offer fast transient response levels and use a very high switching frequency of 300kHz.
Pricing for the NGA10 series begins at $13.80 per device in OEM quantities. Request a free brochure from Murata Power Solutions ...
