Convertors satisfy current-hungry applications
Isolated wide-input-range DC/DC convertors deliver 50-60W of power from a standard 40.6 x 50.8 x 10.16mm PCB-mounting open-frame package.
Eighth-brick convertors power up to 100W
Murata Power Solutions has a new series of cost-effective eighth-brick DC/DC convertors.
Models with output voltages of 1.2, 1.5 and 1.8V are available.
Each of the new additions to the range is able to deliver a continuous output current up to 6A.
Three input voltage ranges are available for each of the new models: 9-18, 18-36 and 36-75V.
The class-leading UWR 7-15W series helps engineers reduce overall system cost and simplify their designs by delivering full output power over ambient temperature ranges of -40 to +60C without the need for heatsinks or forced-air cooling.
By combining a high-frequency, synchronous-rectifier topology with the latest components and proven SMT-on-PCB construction, the UWR 7-15W series gives highly reliable and highly efficient (up to 88%) performance.
The new DC/DC convertors are fully isolated (1500V DC) and include a comprehensive list of standard features that boasts numerous protection features that help reduce the need for additional external circuitry.
These include: input undervoltage and overvoltage lockout, input reverse-polarity protection, output overvoltage protection, output current limiting and continuous short-circuit protection.
Optional functions include on/off control and output trimming.
Packaged in low-cost lightweight UL94V0-rated plastic packages, the UWR 7-15W series achieves EMC compliance through low-noise design rather than costly metal shielding solutions.
All models in the series are UL60950/EN60950 certified.
RoHS compliant versions of this series are also available now. Request a free brochure from Murata Power Solutions ...
