Operation friendly monitoring relays
Now shipping from Carlo Gavazzi are the D and P series of operation friendly monitoring relays.
The RAM is a single-phase electronic relay that can switch a maximum current of 125A RMS at 660V RMS.
A special 690V RMS version is also available on request.
Self-protection by self-switching is a new feature that is now available as an option to prevent damage by line transients and eliminate the need for an external MOV.
When self-switching does not interfere with the application, this provides an alternative solution to other relays with internal MOV that are also available from Carlo Gavazzi.
All devices come with an internal snubber network.
IP20 safety protection is also standard.
The new RAM series uses zero-switching or instant-on modes and can be controlled by a range of DC or AC signals.
All relays have LED indication of the control-input status.
The RAM series has optimal EMC performance by meeting the requirements of IEC61000-4-2, -3, -4, -5 and -6 and EN55011.
VDE, UL and CSA approvals certify that the products are designed to high standards and meet world-class safety requirements.
Superior heat-transfer efficiency combines with a rugged power management design to offer high reliability products that can meet the most stringent functional requirements.
