Digitally programmable potentiometers to take over
Catalyst Semiconductor has added two new digitally programmable potentiometer (DPP) ICs to its AE2 (analogue EEPROM) mixed-signal product line.
The CAT706 has a threshold voltage of 4.40V and each of the CAT705 and CAT813 has a threshold voltage of 4.65V.
In addition to a manual reset and watchdog timer included on all three devices, the CAT813 offers an active-high reset function and the CAT705 and CAT706 offer an active-low reset function.
The CAT705, CAT706 and CAT813 supervisors are available in 8-lead SOIC and 8-lead MSOP packages.
All three devices are pin-for-pin compatible with MAX705, MAX706 and MAX813L ICs.
The CAT705, CAT706 and CAT813 supervisors are priced at US $0.54 each in 10,000-piece quantities.
Samples of the CAT706 and CAT813 are available now; samples of the CAT705 will be available soon.
Projected lead-time for production quantities is currently 6 to 8 weeks ARO.
