Vishay has appointed specialist passives distributor, Charcroft Electronics, as an Approved Precision Centre.
Charcroft will sell Harwin's full range of standard and application-specific connectors but as a key supplier to the defence and aerospace sector will provide particularly strong specialist support on Harwin's 2.0mm Datamate connectors, which comply with CECC75101-008, MIL C55302 and are available to BS9525-F0033 (A and B subgroups) on request.
Harwin's Hedley Fletcher, European Distribution Manager, explained: "The flexibility of Harwin's product range, with over 7.8 million configurations of signal and power in the new mixed technology versions of the Datamate series alone, means that Charcroft's experience in engineering support and procurement for new and retrofit life-critical designs will be a significant advantage to customers".
Charcroft's Sales Director, Edmund Coady, commented: "Harwin has an excellent reputation within our existing customer base and many customers have expressed an interest in being able to consolidate their vendor lists by sourcing both passive and interconnect from Charcroft".
