Charcroft completes MCB Components acquisition

Charcroft Electronics has completed the acquisition of the business-in-trade and products from MCB Components.

Charcroft Electronics has completed the acquisition of the business-in-trade and products from MCB Components, including the exclusive UK distribution rights for Texas Instruments Klixon precision thermostats, current controls and pressure switches.

The acquisition provides Charcroft with an extension to its existing range of precision products for commercial, military and industrial applications.

Sales Director Edmund Coady, explains: "MCB Components have been a leading supplier of electromechanical control products since 1983 and their range fits comfortably with our own linecard of passives and interconnect".

"This allows us to offer mil-aero, medical and industrial OEMs and subcontract customers the opportunity to source a wider range of commercial, release and MIL-spec parts from a specialist CECC-approved source".

Although MCB directors Chris Lee and Martin O'Reilly will continue to work closely with Charcroft to ensure a smooth transition for MCB customers, Charcroft is actively looking to recruit an e-mech specialist to provide technical support on the Klixon range and on the precision foil resistors and multilayer ceramic capacitors which it manufactures at its headquarters in Powys, Wales.
