Concurrent Technologies is supporting the Windows XP Embedded operating system across its range of high-performance CompactPCI and VME boards, including the latest 1.2GHz Pentium III processor-M based products with Gigabit Ethernet Concurrent Technologies recognises that customers have a choice of operating systems depending on their market application

Therefore, supporting Windows XP Embedded is meeting the explicit needs of certain customers requiring embedded control in the CompactPCI or VME real-time single board market.

Vertical markets include industrial automation, medical, aerospace, scientific and telecommunications industries.

The Windows XP Embedded configuration for Concurrent Technologies' VME and CPCI boards is easily constructed using the Windows XP Embedded toolset.

No specific tools or procedures are required.

Third party drivers, such as those for Graphics and Ethernet devices used on Concurrent Technologies boards, can also be easily integrated into the Windows XP Embedded component database.

Ongoing board support for an operating system, enables Concurrent Technologies' customers to encompass rapidly changing projects that require a product family with scaled performance, long life, ease of integration and protection of their software investment.

In addition to Windows XP Embedded, Concurrent Technologies' CompactPCI and VME boards support a wide range of operating systems including Windows 2000, Windows NT, VxWorks, LynxOS, Solaris, Linux, QNX and MS-DOS.

Board support packages are provided as required and are free of charge.
