Concurrent Technologies has increased the range of operating system support for its range of high-performance PowerPC VME boards with the addition of Debian GNU/Linux 3.0.

Included in the list of boards supported are Concurrent Technologies' latest 1GHz Motorola MPC7455 PowerPC based VME boards.

Concurrent Technologies recognises that customers have a choice of operating systems depending on their market application.

Therefore, supporting Debian GNU/Linux 3.0 is meeting the explicit needs of customers requiring a well supported open-source operating system in the VME real-time single board market.

Vertical markets include defence, industrial automation, medical, aerospace, scientific and telecommunications industries.

A policy of ongoing board support for an operating system enables Concurrent Technologies' customers to encompass rapidly changing projects that require a product family with scaled performance, long life, ease of integration and protection of their software investment.
