Concurrent Technologies has announced the release of the PP EMB/P34 Peripheral Slot Controller CPU board, a single slot 6U CompactPCI Board featuring the Flip-Chip Pentium III processor.
The DS MSS/001, a single-slot board, supporting EIDE ATA100 peripheral devices including a 2.5in EIDE hard disk drive with options for a CompactFlash module or CD-R/W (DVD-ROM combo).
The DS MSS/002, a dual-slot board, supports all the features of the DS MSS/001 but also provides a slimline 3.5in floppy disk drive.
The DS MSS/00x family is designed to interface with Concurrent Technologies' wide range of VME/VME64 compatible Pentium and Celeron based CPU boards and is designed as an alternative for the earlier mass storage products.
In addition, both the DS MSS/001 and DS MSS/002 support a parallel port or serial port (RS232 or RS485) that is accessible via the front panel, enabling connection to other peripherals including ZIP drives, CD-ROM drives or printers.
