Deficiencies in the quality of electricity supply are causing business users unplanned downtime, wasted resources and higher energy costs.

Deficiencies in the quality of electricity supply are causing business users unplanned downtime, wasted resources and higher energy costs.

A nationwide series of free power quality knowledge day events from the UK's leading provider of PQ training aims to address these problems and offer solutions to staff at all levels of an organisation from business managers to engineers and technicians.

The day is organised in three self-standing but closely related sessions, each addressing the needs of specific areas of responsibility, such as business, financial and IT management, facilities and plant management or design, maintenance and installation engineering.

Although many people will find that one session meets all their needs, others will want to attend two or even all the sessions.

The speakers have been carefully selected from leading power quality solutions providers to deliver a comprehensive programme with a systems approach to solving PQ problems.

They are all experts in their own right and as a group offer unrivalled expertise.

The event is recognised by IEE and CIBSE for CPD purposes and the programme allows plenty of opportunity for discussions with speakers and among delegates.

There will be a parallel exhibition with demonstrations of equipment and tools.

The information to be presented is based on the contents of the "Power quality application guide", and every delegate will receive an electronic copy of all sections of the guide.

These CPD events are free of charge and are being held at five locations around the UK during 2006: Manchester, Glasgow, Harrogate, Birmingham and Reading.
