Butcher was one of five senior partners who helped grow the business into the pre-eminent international search firm in the UK, with revenues of $100 million.
Prior to Whitehead Mann Group, Butcher held the Group Financial Director position at both Charles Barker and Michael Page Group.
During his early career, Butcher worked for County Bank/County Nat West for 10 years, working initially in London and then between 1982 and 1984 in New York, initially as a Director of International Corporate Finance and finally President of the bank's US operations.
Ian Butcher became a Member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in 1973 and was appointed a Fellow in 1979.
"The appointment of Ian as CFO comes at an important stage for CDT.
The company has established a solid intellectual property and technology base, and has begun to see its manufacturing license partners launch commercial products containing CDT technology.
Ian's depth of experience and obvious fit with the CDT senior team will be vital to drive forward our global commercialisation strategy for LEPs", said David Fyfe, CEO of CDT.
