Plant status option for CATV power supplies
Celab has released a new interface card for its CATV power supplies, implementing the new industry standard Hybrid Management Sublayer (HMS 022) plant status interface.
The orders cover Celab's SP1470, SP1490 and SP1650 switch-mode power supplies, with deployment planned both for new sites, and as replacements for existing power supply units from other manufacturers.
"Our strategy of expansion into Europe through partnering with SAFT is proving to be a winner", said Barry Wood, MD of Celab, "although it's early days, the growth of sales during difficult times is very encouraging".
Although recent productivity improvements through the introduction of new manufacturing initiatives such as Lean Manufacturing and 5S mean that the orders will not necessarily result in many extra jobs, they provide additional security for the 80 staff at the company's Bordon plant, especially in conjunction with recent contract wins for long-term military projects.
