As part of an ongoing commitment to best-in-class quality standards, Celab has been awarded BS EN ISO9001:2000 certification, following assessment of its quality management system.
Commenting on the award, Barry Wood, MD, said: "The new BS EN ISO9001:2000 standard places a significant focus on reducing red tape, increasing customer satisfaction, increasing flexibility and implementing effective quality management systems.
This is a natural fit with our own growth vision for Celab, but it must be taken as an ongoing process, not just a one-off test or trophy for the wall".
The ISO9001:2000 programme built on a number of existing initiatives such as lean manufacturing, which had already required an in-depth review of Celab's processes and procedures.
However the preparation and assessment still provided some extremely valuable analysis.
As an example, the process map created as part of ISO9001:2000 provides such a useful insight into how the company operates, that it is now accessible on the Celab website.
International standards enable suppliers and customers to quickly establish a common baseline for cooperation and quality, freeing them to focus on the specific issues that each project needs to address to achieve success.
Celab welcomes ISO9001:2000 as way to enable customers to discuss how Celab can solve their power problems, confident that quality is built into every process in the company.
