Wood takes charge of new incarnation

C and D provides access to a global sales and support network, enabling Celab to offer existing customers long-term support for international projects, as well as bringing Celab's expertise to a wider market.
Julian Wood joined Celab as Operations Manager 10 years ago, after six years at ICL/ Fujitsu where he had worked both in the UK and USA.
As Operations Director at Celab, Wood has co-ordinated the company's lean manufacturing and other process re-engineering initiatives.
Output has more than trebled from the Bordon, Hampshire, site since 1994, across both military and telecomms markets.
Barry Wood, a well-known figure within the power supply industry, will maintain an involvement which began with founding the company as a subsidiary of Trio Laboratories in 1971.
In addition to running Celab from the beginning, Wood has been an active member of Intellect and its precursor, the FEI, including serving as President of the FEI in 1997-98.
The company's operations team is also being strengthened to reflect the new management lineup.
Shaun Claridge continues as Production Manager, and Alistair Crowley takes on the role of Materials Manager, with Oliver McFadden joining the purchasing department.
McFadden is another example of University of Portsmouth graduates who choose to join Celab full time, after having worked for a year as part of Celab's successful student training programme.
