Link server interrogates Melsec-Q PLC series
Contec Microelectronics Europe has introduced a PLC link server that allows a networked computer to obtain and update internal register information of Mitsubishi Melsec-Q PLC series.
As the board supports bus master, it is suited to high-speed processing and for controlling external devices with digital pattern output or to quickly sample digital inputs.
The board is also equipped with synchronisation control connectors to solve timing lag problems during channel expansion.
The PIO-32DM(PCI) has 1Kword of onboard FIFO memory for each input and output.
Users can perform pattern I/O at deterministic high rates as long as the patterns can fit in one of these memory locations.
To improve system performance for repetitive pattern output applications, users can load patterns into onboard memory once then output them repeatedly, without reloading them across the computer bus.
The board can be configured interactively using Contec API-Tools driver software, which also allows users to write custom programs and perform digital I/O transfer easily.
API-Tools includes numerous example programs for various programming languages.
