Contec Microelectronics Europe has introduced a PLC link server that allows a networked computer to obtain and update internal register information of Mitsubishi Melsec-Q PLC series.
USB interface takes charge of GPIB systems
A low-cost USB/GPIB interface makes it easy to add standard IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 bus control to any PC.
The USB modules are easy to install and completely portable.
The user just connects a compact data acquisition USB module to a computer, installs the supplied software, and connects the sensor directly to the module.
Designed for high accuracy and resolution the Contec USB DAQ systems directly measure multiple channels of voltage, current, thermocouples, pulse, frequency and digital I/O.
A single cable to the PC provides high-speed communication (USB 2.0) and power to the USB DAQ.
No additional batteries or power supplies are required in most applications.
The new family of high-quality USB devices includes analogue, digital, counter and communication I/O modules.
For example, the ADI12-8(USB)GY is an eight-channel optoisolated analogue to digital module data acquisition system that offers eight differential analogue inputs (up to +/-10V full scale).
Exclusive to Contec, each USB DAQ unit has a built-in bus expansion port that allows users to stack one Contec DAQ onto another making it easy to expand the number of channels that can be accessed from a single USB port.
Furthermore, USB hubs can be used to create multi-unit systems containing up to 127 Contec DAQ modules attached to a single PC.
Using this strategy, a multi-unit Contec DAQ system can provide up to 2032 analogue or digital I/O lines.
To simplify attachment of signals and transducers, the Contec DAQ modules feature convenient, easy-to-connect terminal input connections.
Drivers for Visual Basic and C/C++ for Windows and Linux are also included.
In addition, drivers are available for icon-based software packages, such as LabView.
