A new set of measurement software tools aims to help nontechnical DAQ users to make the very precise, often complex electrical measurements associated with Contec DAQ.

Contec has developed a set of measurement software tools designed specifically for nontechnical DAQ users to assist them in making the very precise, often complex electrical measurements associated with Contec DAQ The Contec measurement software is available at no charge and are compatible with Contec's data acquisition systems

It allows engineers to simulate data acquisition without requiring an analogue-to-digital convertor (although for the input of demo data, API-PAC(WDM) software driver for the demo board must be installed on the PC).

Measurements with DAQ are challenging even for those trained in electrical measurements, while many of the chemists, biologists, and physicists often working in labs have less formal training in measurement science.

The Contec measurement software is designed to shortcut many measurement tasks by providing common routines typically used in testing DAQ devices.

Included in the Contec measurement software are: FFT Analyzer frequency analysis software; Hyper-Logger data acquisition software; Data Scope high-speed measurement software; Excel Scope MS Excel-based measurement software; Pen Recorder extended data recording software; and Function Generator waveform generating software.

The Contec measurement software also contains a collection of relevant white papers, application notes and data sheets on making accurate DAQ electrical measurements.
