A low-cost USB/GPIB interface makes it easy to add standard IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 bus control to any PC.

Contec's newly released low-cost USB/GPIB interface makes it easy to add standard IEEE488.1 and IEEE488.2 bus control to any PC.

With the GP-IB(USB)FL USB/GPIB interface, you just plug and go.

It is "hot pluggable", and so users can easily connect without having to shut down the computer.

No external power supplies are necessary.

The GP-IB(USB)FL USB/GPIB interface implements USB 2.0 (480Mbit/s) and is compatible with USB 1.1.

This high speed tool can serve as a talk/listen device or can operate as a system controller, controlling up to 15 GPIB instruments or other devices over a distance of up to 20m, at a speed of 1.5Mbyte/s.

As the board uses a high-speed GPIB controller developed by Contec (upwardly compatible with the uPD7210), reliable long term availability is ensured.

The GP-IB(USB) is RoHS compliant and achieves a Phase 2 lead-free level defined by the Japan Electronics and Information Technology Industries Association.

The GP-IB(USB)FL API-Tool supports Windows 98, Me, 2000 and Windows XP operating systems and Windows programming languages like Visual C++.NET, Visual C#.NET, Visual Basic.NET, Visual C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, C++Builder.

A LabView driver for the GP-IB(USB)FL will be released early 2006.
