Testing services company expands its facilities to include compliance testing for GSM, W-CDMA, HSDPA and HSUPA equipment.

Cetecom has increased its service capability for its customers by a couple of new test platforms in its testing laboratory at the headquarters in Germany as well as in its testing facilities in Korea and Taiwan The expansion took place in the fourth quarter of 2006 and the first quarter of 2007

These three laboratories have now all been equipped with Anite's multiple-technology, multiple band, test platform SAT(A)UE that enables conformance and interoperability testing for 2G (GSM) and 3G (W-CDMA) devices.

This continued investment in Anite's solutions ensures Cetecom is able to provide the latest test cases, including HSDPA and HSUPA, to its customers.

Cetecom's testing capacities in Korea have furthermore been extended by a 2G Mint RF test system from AT4 wireless and Anritsu's W-CDMA TRX/performance test system ME7873F.

In parallel, the same Anritsu test platform has also been installed in Cetecom's laboratory in Taiwan.

As well as these upgrades in Asia, Cetecom has also invested in more test equipment for its testing laboratory at the headquarters in Essen.

Thanks to a new Spirent GSS4200 multi-channel GPS simulator, Cetecom can now offer A-GPS tests for 2G and 3G according to the 3GPP requirements.

A new TS8950W test platform which covers the RF test cases for W-CDMA FDD I, II, IV and V as well as a couple of HSDPA test cases complements Cetecom's existing Rohde and Schwarz test environment.

A 2G/3G/RRM Mint RF test system and the Factsware platform which was developed by Cetecom for the optimisation of the 2G and 3G blocking tests in its own laboratories contribute to the diversity of test platforms which are at the disposal of Cetecom's customers.
