Cetecom has become the first independent laboratory to offer full type certification to Japanese test specifications.

In order to meet the specific requirements defined by Japanese radio law, Cetecom has developed a number of 3G RF test cases for its in-house Factsware test platform.

The company has also equipped its 3G protocol test platforms with the 3G protocol test cases required for Japan.

As a result, the company is now the first independent laboratory to offer full type certification to Japanese test specifications.

Combined with the testing services of its internationally accredited EMC laboratory and its Conformity Assessment Body (CAB), which is authorised to issue certificates for Japan, Cetecom's portfolio now covers all tests and certification services that are necessary for bringing W-CDMA, UMTS and FOMA terminals to the Japanese market.
