Bernard Morgan takes over as interim president and CEO from 1st January 2002.
Morgan has over 15 years experience in the electronics industry having previously held financial director positions within LSI Logic, Berg Electronics and Philips Electronics.
Morgan has been CFO at Celoxica for more than two years, with responsibility for both the company's finances and the day-to-day management of its operational infrastructure.
Before joining Celoxica, Morgan was Vice President, Finance, Europe at LSI Logic where, as a member of the European management team, he drove strategies to maximise design win opportunities, revenue growth and expense management.
Morgan was also responsible for developing LSI's acquisition strategy in Europe and building the company's relationships with UK investment houses.
At Berg Electronics, Morgan was European controller of operations and manufacturing.
In this role, he was responsible for budgeting and planning the expansion of the company from two to six sites as well as the integration of two acquired businesses.
Morgan also led Europe-wide overhauls in reporting, auditing and capital expenditure.
During his 10 years at Philips, Morgan worked in senior positions across several divisions including Philips Lighting, Philips Consumer Electronics and Philips Media UK.
Often Morgan was integral to the success of bringing new technologies and services to maturity.
As financial director of Philips Media Europe, Morgan helped build a successful pan-European distribution and publishing subsidiary.
