Phil Bishop is the new Chief Executive Officer of Celoxica.

He joins Celoxica from Mentor Graphics Corp, where he was Vice President and General Manger of Worldwide Consulting.

"The great strength of Celoxica is that it is not simply the Handel-C language company, but with DK1.1 it offers a complete design flow from algorithms to FPGAs", said Bishop.

"In a world where most algorithms are implemented in ANSI C, Celoxica provides the designer with a fast and efficient tools for rapid prototyping and reduced time to market.

System architects, particularly those developing embedded systems can make better decisions on hardware-software tradeoffs and design partitioning".

"Phil brings an unusually wide range of experience to Celoxica", commented Jack Fryer, Chairman of Celoxica.

"This extends from ASIC design through sales, marketing and consultancy to senior management and corporate strategy; all skills that will be needed to take Celoxica through its next stage of development".
