Tarari and Celoxica have signed a development and distribution agreement for the Tarari content processor development kit.

Tarari and Celoxica have signed a development and distribution agreement that enables Celoxica DK design suite users to quickly and easily simulate and compile accelerated solutions with the Tarari content processor development kit The content processor development kit is the first released product in Tarari's Formula-CP Acceleration Series

Tarari Formula-CP content processors are hardware and software-based building blocks (silicon, boards, etc) that snap into servers, appliances and network devices allowing, for the first time, application layer content processing to run at network speeds.

The Tarari content processor development kit enables OEMs, system integrators and software vendors to quickly and cost-effectively design and develop performance-optimised, dynamically reprogrammable solutions for accelerating compute intensive applications.

As a result of the announcement, software developers can now use the design environment of the Celoxica DK design suite to shorten development and reprogramming time for content processing solutions from months to weeks.

"Enabling the software development community to easily develop content processing solutions that provide both wire-speed performance and reprogramming flexibility has tremendous benefits for our customers", said Randy Smerik, President and CEO of Tarari.

"The combination of the Tarari product and Celoxica design tools provides the framework to achieve ASIC-level performance without suffering through long and risky development cycles.

This means significantly reduced costs and far faster time to market".

"Accelerating the processing of application content is a critical business and technical challenge", said Phil Bishop, CEO of Celoxica.

"Celoxica and Tarari have been working together to create an integrated development environment that enables system integrators and software developers to leverage our design tools for faster development and Tarari's standards-based, reprogrammable content processing hardware for easy integration with application environments running on servers, appliances and network devices".
