Conference considers FPGA-based computing

A Celoxica product story
Edited by the Electronicstalk editorial team Feb 7, 2006

The long term prospects and near term solutions to the promise of FPGA based high performance computing will be featured at the forthcoming DATE conference.

Electronic system level (ESL) design, high performance computing and FPGA industry leaders will converge at the forthcoming DATE (Design Automation and Test in Europe) conference to present the long term prospects and near term solutions to the promise of FPGA based high performance computing.

This renaissance in interest has been brought about by a combination of technological developments in FPGA architecture, high speed interconnect, design tools and high-level programming frameworks.

In parallel there is an increasing demand for lower power, space efficient and very high performance processing solutions that are easily available to high-level application developers.

As an industry leader, Celoxica will present a view of its solutions to the challenges of electronic system level design and accelerated computing.

Focusing on design solutions and programming frameworks, Celoxica will show how FPGA based high performance computing is being adopted in key market sectors.

On Wednesday 8th March 2006, a technology panel will examine "FPGAs and ESL for the path to accelerated computer", and on Friday 10th March a solutions workshop will address "The renaissance of FPGA-based high-performance computing".
