Precompliance tester cuts WiMAX
development costs
The new MINT T2100 is billed as the most complete and versatile solution for developers and integrators of WiMAX terminals and basestations.
AT4 wireless has developed a new WiMAX test system for RF precompliance testing The new MINT T2100, based on the MINT E1130 BS/MS emulator, provides an easy upgrade path to protocol and radio conformance testing, and also provides radiated performance testing measurement capabilities

Online access to approvals progress
A new online system answers one of the biggest issues in managing worldwide product approvals: how to keep up to date on the status of all approval projects.
Many companies are looking to reduce their certification costs, and therefore require a test system that can minimise cost and time and maximise certification success.
The new MINT T2100 is billed as the most complete and versatile solution for developers and integrators.
Based on the MINT E1130 BS/MS emulator, which supports all the official profiles defined by the WiMAX Forum, including HARQ, MIMO and internal channel emulation, the MINT T2100 provides precompliance testing to 802.16-2005 for both MS and BS devices, supporting the RF measurements required for WiMAX certification like BER, RSSI, sensitivity, CINR etc.
It also offers an easy upgrade path to both official WiMAX testing tools from AT4 wireless, designated by the WiMAX Forum: the MINT T2110 radio conformance tester and the MINT T223x protocol conformance tester.
Moreover, the new MINT T2100 offers emulation capabilities for radiated performance testing measurements, which will be introduced as part of certification testing for Mobile WiMAX in the second half of 2008.
The new tester will allow manufacturers of WiMAX BS/MS devices to test their products efficiently by means of performing accurate RF measurements, using the same measurement algorithms and signalling procedures than the MINT T2110, at an affordable price.
The MINT T2100 test system will enable manufacturers to reduce their time to market and launch their products much earlier.
In the words of Adrian Garcia, WiMAX Product Manager at AT4 wireless: "The MINT T2100 mainly covers an identified gap in the WiMAX testing market, the R and D and precertification testing, and is the first test system providing a compact solution for both MS and BS manufacturers to expedite their developments as well as reduce their certification costs".
"The new MINT T2100 fully supported by the big brothers, the MINT T2110 (radio conformance tester) and the MINT T223x (protocol conformance tester), enlarges the family of AT4 wireless test solutions for WiMAX".
