Backplane offers high bandwidth in a compact size and integrates the latest VITA 46 and 48 standards with the proven legacy capabilities of VMEbus technology.

Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions has developed a six-slot 3U VPX Ruggedised Enhanced Design Implementation (REDI) backplane for military and aerospace applications.

A commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solution, the VPX REDI backplane offers high bandwidth in a compact size and integrates the latest VITA 46 and 48 standards with the proven legacy capabilities of VMEbus technology.

The VPX REDI backplane can be customised with multiple configurations for individual embedded, development, testing or measurement applications.

Available with rear I/O, the backplane is designed to accommodate a large volume of high-speed I/O and switch fabric connections.

When coupled with Carlo Gavazzi Computing Solutions' standard or customised ATR rugged enclosures that feature convection, conduction or air-over conduction cooling solutions and full mesh backplane support, the VPX REDI backplane is ideal for deployment in harsh military applications.

The new 716 Series conduction-cooled ATR enclosures is an ideal pairing for the 3U VPX REDI backplane.
