EMI shielding gasket material offers multiple advantages in the manufacture of LCD televisions.
Soft-Shield 3500 consists of nickel-plated nylon wrapped around a urethane foam core and has a shielding effectiveness of greater than 90dB between 50MHz and 10GHz.
The construction gives an extremely low closure force of typically less than 0.175N/mm; this enables the material to provide an effective solution in most applications, including those with thin-walled plastic enclosures.
An operating temperature range of -40 to +70C means that Soft-Shield 3500 can be used in a wide range of operating environments.
A pressure sensitive adhesive on one side of the gasket helps to ease assembly of the material onto the mounting surface and allows accurate positioning.
The extensive range of profiles that includes rectangular, C-fold, D-shape and P-shapes gives equipment manufacturers a great deal of design flexibility.
Soft-Shield 3500 is available in standard or cut lengths or kiss-cut to custom shapes.
It can also be supplied in sheet form for peel-and-stick applications.
